i am 43, big deal, i don't feel any different...

went to the meat raffle, Kathy won and let me pick so i picked a pack with 17 pork steaks. we grilled some up and froze some, here's a photo... they were great!

i got some great presents: a pillow that stays cool all night, a womans bathroom reader book, a new water bottle, new travel coffee mug, cookie butter (like peanut butter but made from cookies), a yooper hoody, scratch off lotto tickets, cash, key lime waters, zero candy bars and some cards! nice low key birthday, just the way i like it!

I feel like i need to write this memory down so i don't forget it. Last night my daughter & i REALLY got along. We sat next to each other on the couch, talked about things (last back to school shopping trip since she will be a senior next year), looked at Pinterest together and even laughed. Since we are both very much alike, she will say she is nothing like me, we have had our battles.
