to my son

Tyler Keith

My “little” boy, my one and only

From the day you were born I have loved you with all my heart

Such a good baby, mellow all the time

As a toddler, wanting to only please

You adore your sister and she adores you

A smile that would light up the room and a high pitch voice to match!

Mommy’s boy

Entering school, so bittersweet, I knew you would excel but I wanted you to stay my little boy!

Elementary school, you did so well, listened to your teachers, played well with your friends.

Never any problems, only praises!

Eager to please, a kind soul

Team sports started, baseball, basketball and soccer, you are a natural and I your number one fan

Middle School, Whew what a change for you, you were so nervous!

Afraid of changing classrooms and nervous of your new school, you were comfortable at Lakeview

Homework was overwhelming at times but you still got good grades

Never a problem for your teachers and a friend to everyone

Quick wit, amazing to see the young man you are becoming

You made the basketball team both 7th and 8th grade, you enjoyed that time with your friends

Occasionally testing me but that is expected as you grow, a few “words” and you were back to normal

High School! How can it be, people told me this time with you would fly by but I did not believe them

The Social Butterfly, more interested in friends and having fun

Teachers love you but say you can do better if you apply yourself, something I have been saying for years

Football, track and tennis are what you are participating in now

In the blink of an eye it all changed. one day on top of the world, the next barely holding on

Friends and family who support and love you

We had to experience things I never thought we would, although they were uncomfortable,

I was there for you and you for me

Horrible, life changing experience but one that brought you back, the Tyler I love

Moving on and forward, learning from choices made

I am thankful for Bill Hartman and second chances

I am thankful for the 6 months of your senior year you spent nights and weekends with me

I am thankful for the better choices you are making

Summer trip to Europe with Hicks and I and NMU in the fall

I am excited to see what your future holds!

Grab hold of your dreams, you will do great things

I'll love you forever, I'll like you for always, As long as I'm living my baby you'll be

I love you with all my heart
