Aubri Cheryl...

Here's the birthday girl and her cake (which she decorated; she gets that from my mom & sister), opening presents and getting a kiss from "Buddy"

My baby turned 13...

I can't believe Aubri Cheryl turned 13 (Sept. 27), we had a Bingo party. This is something my mother started, you collect things around your house you no longer want and wrap them up & put a string on them and put them in the bag. You can't peak when you pick so you have no idea what you will get! Toilet paper with a dollar bill inside, Sweating to the oldies by Richard Simmons on VHS...you get the idea! Here are some pictures with my family and their prizes

Dan with his purse (inside the purse was a broken pair of glasses & something else) -
Sheena with her Vanilla Ice cassette -
Martin with his UP Whitetails association camo baseball hat (he got that out of my bag & he also picked the hunters orange whitetails hat out of my bag also) -
Caden with his baton that has glitter in it (he was thrilled!) -
Brianna with her 2000 New Years Eve glasses -

Mixer cozy...

Ok so I have officially turned into my mother (& yes it matches the curtain I made for above my sink). My mother and grandmother had a "cozy" over every appliance (toaster, mixer, etc) and my mother made them all...I have my grandmothers mixer that is not very pretty but it works great. The top slides off so it turns into a hand held mixer...I love it!!!

Labor Day part II...

I have had these tin tiles for awhile but never got up the energy to hang them, today I got that energy! Aubri helped A LOT and Tyler also helped, it is really easy!

Before: (ugly paneling backsplash in kitchen)

Beautiful new backsplash in kitchen:
This is what happens to fingers when you work with tin (I took this picture before I was finished, now there are 4 bandaids!). By the way, I had my first Enbrel shot for my psoriasis yesterday, wish me luck!

Labor Day...

New curtain for my NEW kitchen window! Steven put in a new window in the kitchen and it is wonderful! So I finally found some fabric that I liked so I could make a new curtain, the top fabric is from the curtain that used to be hanging in the kitchen, not really me....
I just loved this fabric...
